Autumn Equinox

The autumn equinox, also known as the September or fall equinox, takes place on or around September 22 at the moment the Sun crosses the equator. Fall begins in the Northern Hemisphere and spring begins in the Southern Hemisphere. There are several celebrations around the world in mid-autumn when the equinox occurs.
