World Art Day is all about encouraging creativity and appreciating art from around the world. It was started by the International Association of Art (IAA) and is recognized by UNESCO as a day to highlight how art brings people together and inspires new ideas. The date was chosen to honor Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday, a symbol of creativity and imagination.

Learn About Leonardo da Vinci

Ever wonder why the sky is blue, or how water flows, or what makes things fly? Well, Leonardo da Vinci certainly did. From childhood until the day he died, he was in search of these and so many other answers. Leonardo dedicated his life to becoming a scientist…and engineer…and inventor…and architect…and artist…and sculptor. Do you think he stopped there? Think again.
