Ramadan Mubarak

The story follows the children as they observe and participate in traditions such as waking up early for suhoor (the daily predawn meal), gathering for iftar (the meal that breaks the fast each evening of Ramadan), fasting or giving up something important, and serving others.
For the last night of Ramadan, Chand Raat (or night of the moon), the kids visit a market to try on bangles, buy new clothes, and get henna patterns drawn on their hands.
Eid Mubarak!

The following day is Eid, and there are new traditions for the kids to explore. They visit a famous mosque to say a prayer and return home for a feast that includes a special Eid dish called Sheer Khurma (thin pasta and milk).
The children receive Eidi, special money envelopes, and in the spirit of the holiday, they decide to donate some of it to those in need (along with some sweets).
Visiting relatives, meeting new friends, and learning how Eid is celebrated in other countries round out this fun adventure for Maya, Neel and Chintu.
